After reviewing your link as well as the Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulations Application Guide (http://www.ccmta.ca/english/pdf/HoS_Application_Guide.pdf) which gives additional examples, it appears I was wrong. Thanks for the correction.

Man am I glad I don't have too deal with logbook crap anymore (I stay within 160k)... Plus my company limits us to 13hr days 60hr work weeks so I never have to worry about going over hours...

You can have 24 hrs on duty- you just can't drive after the 14 or 16 and you can't drive again until satisfying the 10hr OD or SB
Edit- not responding to the oil field post

So basically, in the log book you record as on duty not driving, for example I might be on site done my 13 hrs within the 14 on duty but could still be working on the lease with setup etc. So woulds necessarily wouldn't always match the tome sheet. Any input would help I want to run legally but maximize the hours.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure of your 2nd last sentence but if your 13 hrs driving was compliant- then you may continue to work or be on duty-not driving for as long as you want or need to. You must then take a full 10 OD to be able to drive again. Your company time sheets are not relevant to your logs according to the example by the MOT http://www.ccmta.ca/english/pdf/HoS_...tion_Guide.pdf
