14 hour time period per day that you cannot drive more than 11 hours in it.
The max hours of driving and on duty time is 70 hours. This can be reset by taking a 34 hour break. -
very good, thanks...that's what I thought it was.
-
A couple notes, once that 14 hour clock starts there aint no stopping it and that is 70 hours within 8 days.
But the FMCSA is making an anouncement on 12/22/11 about changes to the HOS, so who know what rules will be?
P.S. There are a few details like split sleeper & 60/7 rule, but above are what most companies abide by. -
-
JCW got told to do an 8/2 split today. It was the only way to get the load there on time, since the drop and hook turned out to be a drop and liveload.
-
Last two companies I worked for stated it was against company policy to do a split, infact the the option was invalid in the peoplenet e-logs. I just applied at another company and they too stated that it was against company policy for some reason. I assume it may trigger an FMCSA audit as so many people mis-understand how to lawfully use this option.
-
Well, the e-logs help with that. They bump his 14 after the 8.
-
No stopping the 14 hour clock ???
They must have already changed the rules, eh ?? -
123456 Thanks this.
