Since you don't give a location, and i don't know the Canadian rules...if you are in the USA, yes you need to log all hours worked and they do work against your 70 and your 14. Now it may be different in Canada...many things are, but even Canadian drivers if they come into the US need to be accurate to US standards and rules while driving in the US, and that includes the times they put in in Canada.

You must log the other job as on duty not driving. You can work your trucking job, then your other job, then take a break if you choose, but no matter what, you cannot operate a commercial motor vehicle without taking 10 hours sleeper/off duty, or the 34 restart (if needed).

The only thing I can add is they have to know about the 1st job before you got in trouble. If your driving job does not know about the warehouse job and vise versa. Nobody knows.

You'll get burnt out on two jobs before too long. Get it while you can.:biggrin_25525:

Eventually you will get caught. That darn social security number is tied to everything including payments for things made to the government.

when i drove back in the early 90s....long time ago,,,but i believe that i could drive 10 hours, and then had to take 8 off.....today, i quess i can log 11 hours, and must take 10 hours off.. is that true?

as for the 11 hours on duty driving...is fueling included in that.....

as for unloading, is that part of the 14 hour rule,,,but not considered driving?

when i unloaded,,,,,i made it 15 minutes.....and was never questioned about it from dot....can i still do that..?

any tips for me....been 15 yrs since i was a road warrior
