That only is if you are under the scope of the FMCSA. If you do not fall under their rules, then the state law is where you get the limit. -
Correct, so I guess it depends on how you operate, in my companies case our locals cross state lines.

(1) Having been on duty 60 hours in any period of 7 consecutive days if the employing motor carrier does not operate commercial motor vehicles every day of the week; or
(2) Having been on duty 70 hours in any period of 8 consecutive days if the employing motor carrier operates commercial motor vehicles every day of the week. -

Yep... you started your sleeper at 0200 which means you were on-duty for 4 hours, including 3 hours on line 3 at that point. When you awakened at 1000 (after 8 hours) you still had 10 hours on your 14, and 8 hours on your 11. You could finish your run any time up to 2000... when your 14 expired, with plenty of time on your 11 to do it.
