Ya... Your trainer is off on his thinking.
Me and my trainer ran on 10's based on the other guys break.
I regularly ran it to 10:45 if he was asleep. Cause I knew it was all about knocking down those hours.
BUT, I made very sure I had a landing spot in mind and avoided violations.
He did caution me about running it so close, once your on your own with no teammate....
I would advise finding something at the one hour mark. You never know when a accident or other random crap will get you Stuck against the clock.

I doubt a cop would tell you to move the truck if you were legally parked.
Or maybe I didn't state that.
I should have, though. -
Starboyjim and NavigatorWife Thank this.

I was simply pointing out that I could be forced to move my truck even though I didn't want to. Nothing more. -
Did I really sound that way?
Not intended in the least.
You responded to me saying that one should shut down before running out of hours by mentioning that a cop might not like where one shut down and might be required to move.
But like I said, I didn't mention to shut it down someplace that was legal to do so.
Personally I don't shut down on ramps or side streets.
I tried a side street once and a cop was right there telling me to move out.
Now I only stop at truck stops or rest areas, and I plan my trips to give me plenty of time.
Nothing you have said in the past has put me off with you. I'm sorry if my response indicated that.MM3Deg and Rock 'n Roll Relocater Thank this. -
I wonder how much driving experience does your trainer have? And how can you properly train someone if they re not doing and showing you the right way to do things?
