We have had one city guy off for other reasons. On Friday they laid off 2 city/dock guys out of a 25 man board.

    WE SO SCREWED

Friends/family kept on saying get a new car. Everyone at work said get a new car. i would get all the Sanford and son jokes and people would play the Sanford and son theme ringer on their phone when i walking into the driver's room even though my truck is not THAT old.

i even thought i needed a new car, because, if you look at my latest checks since the new bid, you can see that i pretty much work all day and don't have much time to be working on an older vehicle.

Everyone doesn't think it's so funny now........

i think the term "big dummy" was used often on this show? If you finance a car with no safety net/backup savings etc., you are a "big dummy." like me......

    I got 2 lol.

That bank wont take it back. Too many people out there in same boat and there are people lost their jobs weeks ago. They will probably let you defer for a few months till things get back rolling.

So far I am still rolling normal but if it gets bad they can take the cars. Ill go on unemployment and let them pay for me to return to school.

Park it inside the gate at work and inside the garage at home. Problem solved, they won’t take it back.

I was planning to get a new pick up next year, but I might move that to later this year. Dealers are going to be looking to move units. 0% financing will probably be standard for good credit and I wouldn’t doubt deferred payments for 4-6 months.

The food service company I just got laid of from is doing the same thing. Two weeks ago they started selling to local grocery store chains with empty shelves because their own distribution can't keep up with demand. They were also in talks to contract route drivers out to other distribution networks just to keep them working. I wasn't a route driver so that couldn't save my job.

In a normal week about 80% of my deliveries are to food service companies. Last trip I had 3 out of 10 stops.
Performance foods Lebanon Tn. Looked about normal for their outbound when I got there at 5am, but I was the only one checking in and that’s not normal. When I left at 6:15 there was only one other truck there.
Sysco Memphis only had 4 trucks in line at 3am normal would be 15+... when I left at 07:30 they had 2 open doors and no one waiting.
Us foods Memphis had trucks and trailers stacked in front of the doors making it hard to get backed in.
