He better make sure he logs that properly. UPS Freight may be a tad upset if he wrecks and some hot shot ambulance chasing lawyer discovers he was moonlighting for money and not properly reporting it.
How’s the LTL sector doing where you’re at?

Which proves this is a manufactured panic. I deliver to a small family owned distribution company that specializes in janitorial supplies. I'm in there three times a week. He has plenty of paper products and sanitizer in hand. His choke point is delivery. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday his truck goes Northeast, Sourheast, Southwest, Northwest respectively. Friday he covers volume deliveries. He just can't put enough on the truck to keep up with demand. Profit margin makes adding another truck and driver or using LTL untenable. He would have to raise rates to add a truck or utilize LTL. He will do neither because he doesn't want to be accused of gouging and would not have enough business to justify second truck and driver once this madness subsides. He's been in business since 1947(father started it). This is a microcosm of the induced panic. The material is there, will continue to be there but artificial shortages result from panic buying.Cardfan89, road_runner and BigDog Trucker Thank this.

You can say it doesn’t count. I’m delivering critical food for people in need. Lol.USMC 3531 Thanks this.

If you really felt that making that delivery would have been a violation of your local shutdown orders or that it would be unsafe that's one thing. But letting yourself be motivated by pettiness or jealousy is no way to live, no way to get ahead in life.road_runner Thanks this.

Beverage all types , fast food - Mclane mostly owns , pharmacy , garbage , Air and Gas , construction and grocery delivery haven’t had a impact on them at all especially those with Day Cab from what I’ve seen. I’m currently working out of Anheuser- Busch plant in Williamsburg, Va were still busy. Took that job over me starting my owner operator business out of the local Ports bc nothing is being sent over from China right now.

Yes sir plenty of work and Saturday’s as well. I was offered a job with Estes Express then sent a email that something was on my MVR which is a lie “probably hired someone more experience over me” then called me back 2 weeks later about getting hired again , I turned it down bc from what the guys in the Estes forums and company said I’ll be filling in for those that are sick , vacation or just didn’t show up, I’m the type who likes to work as much as I can and not sit around. With this virus slowing things down I probably would have been laid off by them.BigDog Trucker, jtaran06 and USMC 3531 Thank this.

Oh man, yes I have received the dreaded Estes email myself, mine was "position no longer available ".

Lol, mine kind of my fault they said why didn’t I list my speeding ticket in 2016 in my POV , I told them that the application has 3 years back unless I read it wrong ? It’s all good the way things are I wouldn’t have much time behind the wheel and probably be more at the dock or at home with this virus messing up freight. I only have 13 months CDL experience being at a dock won’t help my truck driving experience.USMC 3531 Thanks this.
