A big congrats on losing that much weight. Is that picture of a 1971 Mac? It says 71 so I guess so. Did you drive it?
How about some facts for a change

I'm still losing weight, I figure I'd like to level off at 260 or 265 because if I get any thinner than that I start lookin' kind'a out of proportion.
When I weighed in at 340 most people thought I weighed about 250/260 'cause I'm a pretty big guy anyway.
The mack in the photo is considerably older than 1971...W-71 is the model designation for that truck...The truck in the photo is a 1955 model. -
If any of you reading this are overweight or obese, please don't take offense. My comments are not meant to disparage your standing as a decent human being. This is a safety issue.
In most any occupation where the general public may be at risk, the professionals in these occupations are held to a higher pyhsical fitness standard than most of the rest of the population. The requirements for a truckers med card are laughable. The facts are that obesity has a direct correlation to diabetes and more importantly to sleep disorders and slower reaction times. Here we are barreling down the highways at 60mph controlling 80,000lbs of potential mayhem. Truckers should be held to the highest standards before being allowed to renew their CDL's.
A few months back I was heading down to Tucson from Phoenix on I10. It was a beautiful spring morning and traffic was pretty light for the time of day. The rig in front of me was traveling a little below the speed limit in the right lane. With no apparent mechanical failure he just drifted off onto the shoulder and flipped. If this rig were in the left lane another truck or car might have been taken out as well. Clearly, for whatever reason, the driver lost consciousness.
If you are overweight or obese and driving a big truck you owe it to yourself to do something about it.
Just sayin'

There's a technical term for those drivers:
Buffet Assassins.
I'm amazed the choke & pukes can actually make any money on their buffets after a Buffet Assassin strikes!
