You've read it, but it's wrong (which is why I posted the Texas code and every other state I've seen is the same).

And for me, somehow I remember that if you are in your 4-wheel POV, then you are under the .08 rule. That the .04 applies only when operating a CMV.. Memory is sometimes a weird thing!

A lot of truck stops have beer. If your gonna drink on your 34 be discreet about it.

Buy your booze then walk out through the car entrance, not the diesel door leading to the fuel pumps.

    Put in a bag.

Saw a guy the other day openly carry a 12-pack back to his truck in broad daylight. If the wrong person sees that and calls it in, you could get in trouble.

Also stay off the CB. I was at a truck stop were some guy was drinking on his 34. He started playing “drunk CB Rambo” and was mouthing off to the other drivers.

His fatal words were “If your gonna tell me that to my face come over to truck 1234.”

The other guy called the cops to 1234 and they pulled him out of the truck.

Drinking beer through a straw is unorthodox, but I've seen a driver hide his tallboy inside a large soda fountain cup.

After a 260 mile run that consisted of 17 deliveries and 5 pickups that filled my 48’ liftgate trailer today, I’ve earned it.

Don't park at bars , bag it and don't advertise it and only drink when you have at least 14 hours to stay parked .
Get rid of emptys and leftovers before hitting the road ...use common sence .
    You won't have problems.

    How and when?

Straight out of the bottle, and as soon as you wake up. Best way to prevent hangovers

    Stupid is, is stupid does.

Some of the guys complain about long hours worked because it cuts into drinking time. Not me, I focus on my work and family. If she offers me another load I'm not complaining. I smile say thanks and take it to the bank
