You're right, they are. I'll give myself a warning.

I'd rather you'd give me a "he must have been drinking and didn't realize how many f bombs were in the video he linked" pass.

Look again. That was a 0 point warning. That's less than a slap on the wrist...especially for F bombs.

Shippers determine rates by putting out RFQ's That gives them a high/low and average rate on their lanes.
Carriers in the average get the freight based on capacity.

So punish everyone because of the poor choices made by some. That’s right in line with all the threads currently going about having the government step in and limit a broker’s cut because the spot market is saturated with trucks.

The people who make poor choices will make poor choices until they learn not to. It’s easy to see here. They’re looking for a good lease purchase program because they have bad credit and can’t get their own financing. Or they’ve tried lease purchase multiple times before and they didn’t work but this next one is going to work for sure. So let’s kill an entire business model that’s been around since trucking began to make sure we protect those people from themselves. I have a feeling they won’t suddenly learn how to manage money and become wealthy because of this move.

An AB5 type rule isn’t going to distinguish between who has their name on the title and who is getting their truck from a carrier, it will be one size fits all but at least we will save those poor souls from themselves I guess.

This thread is hilarious. Every so often someone jumps in here and acts like "supply and demand" is a term made up by a secret cabal of broker illuminati so that they can get over on poor humble trucking folk. Always makes me grin.

Horrible slogan, too long, has no flow, lacks style, maybe a potential first draft of a first draft, keep up the good work though, haha jk
