Diesel, I can smell it with windows down! I can hear it too: coffee grinder. Don't have to get out and look.

Lol at the "I told you so".

I had herd it's been tamed. Not surprised though. Good to have it confirmed . I only visit Daytona when we visit the Mouse these days. An that's only to hit the flea market there. Near the Race track. Maybe this next trip, I'll go over to the gun place next to it...they offer machine guns to shoot. LOL.

Nah, I'll just stick to the flea market. I'd rather drink beer while the wife wanders about shopping.anyhow. Plus they always have interesting stuff.

Sturgis is too many people in too small a place. Sure, everything opens up and is booming, but when it takes 4 hours just to get into a restaurant...? I went to Sturgis, ended up in Jackson Hole...via LittleBigHorn, the Devil's Tower and Yellowstone.

You've been riding long enough to know that 95% of all people that have ever ridden a motorcycle have never been more than 50 miles from their house. Why? Because they are afraid. When you see a real biker, traveling thousands of miles from home, he gets tons of respect. Doesn’t matter what you ride when you actually ride.

I was fueling up in Arizona, near Tucson, walked inside the Cstore to get a drink. When I came back out, there was this young woman kneeling down next to her son (3 yr old) and they’re looking at me. I went up to her and said, “He likes motorcycles.” She corrected me, “He LOVES motorcycles.” I invited mom to sit her son on my bike and take a picture. That made his day. I invited mom to sit on my bike, and I started the bike and let her rev the throttle. That made her day.

One of the things I preach to new riders is to not be one of those AHoles that you see, cutting cars off, flipping everyone off or bouncing off the rev limiter while sitting at a traffic light. Kids are watching. Young kids. Tots! Be respectable.

Years ago, I wanted to ride down to Daytona, but every video I see, there’s a buttload of cops, pulling bikers into alleyways writing tickets. That ain’t cool. I can see ticketing for burnouts or speeding, but apes and exhaust?

That's all the Yankee cops that come down to work as security. They feel like they have something to prove if you have a diamond, the rest of the year I have no problems. I heard it wasn't always like that though used to be a fun time but it is always been kind of beat as long as I can remember and I grew up in Daytona. The old man tells me stories from back in the day that it sounded great LOL. Whether they are true or not I don't know but it sounded awesome

Had a friend talk up Little Sturgis to me. I look up a video and I see this...

Question: What is the most common bloodtype in this video?

I see more RV's than I do motorcycles. And bunches of scantily clad fat people. Varicose veins and cottage cheese. Acres and acres of droopy tits. And beer bellies. Considered bestiality in some places. NA-S-T-Y.

Lol. That ####ing can am makes the whole thing terrible. I hang with the American bike over 1000cc crowd but I respect anyone who is out there riding no matter what you are on EXCEPT people on those can ams or Polaris slingshots...they aren't bikes, they aren't cool, and they are just terrible lol. After seeing that trike the other day with the wheelchair and you telling me about the one armed man there really is no excuse to ride/drive those things lol.

I've been to Bike Week, but not for the sideshow (although I've seen it :D).

Sadly, the main event became a has-been a long time ago. Such a shame as it was a premier, world-class event.

You can usually find a room down in Hot Springs. Don't think it gets sold out...still.

That's one thing we've gotten sick and tired of. Bikes playing the center line game. They get on it. People here have gotten to where they won't hug the white line on the side anymore. These people are morons. You never see those dirty looking bikers. Who look like their bike is their only transportation doing this. If those guys handlebar gets closer than a foot from the line. They're worrying. I also showed them more courtesy. Made sure I ran the white line for them. They're not fooling around.
You should see the statistics of how many of them run into each other.

The prices on rooms got ridiculous. Not sure anymore. Been OTR.
I remember giving a biker a ride back to hotel room from dealer. Bike getting worked on. Room at The Dakota Rose. Biggest dive west of the Missouri. Anyway... His group was looking for another motel to stay at. Dakota Rose raised their rates for following year. He said: Not only are we looking. Our little biker club prides ourselves on being dirty and nasty. But this place? It's a bit much for even us.

This. You don't normally see this kinds of crap at most motorcycle rallies.
