I don't know but I'm considering taking a job driving a log truck right now.
I know my uncle is still slow. down to five days a week for the first time in years -
I'm not a logger. But, I know of 2 fair size operations that have closed the doors for good. Within the past 2 weeks.
Over 50 trucks, shut down.
It's hurting our guys here locally. -
Its mixed here. Some are hurtin and some are running flat out still. Alot of the companies with halfway nice trucks are gone though. Mostly O/O's are the ones still running. Chips are doing half ok.

A buddy of mine hauled his last load of logs a couple of months ago. He still had work. But with fuel prices and everything it just wasn't worth doing. So he parked his truck and took a job driving a car hauler for a large used car dealership.

. Pulp mills are slow. The bigger mills arent taking much and the small mom and pop mills are closed or just running for a day or two here and there when they get an order...
. Dont know if or when it is going to change...
