How are trailer prices these days?

I know you have to be careful with older trucks. They're old and #### can go wrong.

I don’t think you can find a new Dry Van under $50k right now. The old ones are still overpriced. I bought my 08 from Penske in 2017 for under $12k. Exact same Trailer for sale now at Penske is $14k. Exact same asking price as 2017, for the same Trailer that’s now 6 yrs. older. Even older Dry Vans are still $10k minimum. If you’re selling, don’t give it away.

When I was buying a flatbed there was a lot of inventory, at least for reitnour and were very pushy. I bought my MAC $4k under msrp.

 

Wow! That was fast. I just got a cold call from Penske. Considering I’ve only bought 1 Trailer from them 5 yrs. ago. I’d say they’re digging deep looking for buyers.
