I’m at the usually cheapest fuff Ed l stop I have. Past it up this morning to get loaded, 10 miles past here, because I wanted to top it off. The price went up .20c per gallon since this morning. Win some, Lose some.
bigguns Thanks this. -
I've been using XPO Logistics EFS fuel card for the past three years. Every morning I get an email from them with a list of all truck stops with discounted diesel prices. Usually every TA or Petro around the country offers some kind of discount. However, I was just looking at their email from this morning and instead of a couple of hundred truck stops offering discounts, there's only a few so now I will be getting a diesel for the full price. Let's see what's going to happen tomorrow and day after tomorrow. If it's the same, XPO Logistics EFS fuel card is useless and it will get shredded.
Rideandrepair and LameMule Thank this. -
I'm at home in TX weather is nice and played 18 holes of golf ⛳️ today . Trucks paid off insurance paid in full and lanes I run have gone up recently so I guess I'll just keep working 2 weeks out of the month like I've been doing . Those guys that just paid $175k for new trucks are the ones who need to worry.

I just keep thinking about all the threads I've read on here the last year about .. I'am going to buy a new truck .. .. or .. I'am tired of getting screwed as a company driver Iam gonna buy a truck and make the big $$ ..
And it's always the same thing .. rates are good... Iam making money ..
Now I can spend the next year reading threads about how they are losing their ### Because fuel is 8.00 a gal and the economy went to the basement but the finance company won't give them a break

You do realize some are hit and miss on the production once drilled. Have you ever worked in the oil patch? It is a lot more than just getting a permits. And it better be worth that rig coming out and all the stuff behind it before it can even come on line. SMHRubber duck kw and God prefers Diesels Thank this.

Ive been in the oil patch for a good portion of my life.
Have you ever worked in the oil patch?
Oil companies don’t apply for permits without knowing a good deal where they are going to drill + technology is pretty amazing at finding that oil now a days there bub. -
Not a dumb idea. I do that often. I can hold 250 gallons at a time. So I can do a lot of the work I do in the expensive area for cheaper since I fuel in cheaper area before getting in that area.

Please tell me you worked in the oil patch and you did not just drive trucks. And yes I worked in the oil patch Torque and Test. Rigged up frac stacks, coil rubbing, and anything to do with the production side right after they drilled. And if you had worked hands on in the oilfield you would know that not every hole is a great home. Most everything is horizontal drilling now with some being 4-25 stages on frac.Midwest Trucker, JoeyJunk and God prefers Diesels Thank this.

Not only that, but they'll drill to secure the lease, and never complete the well. Or complete the well, but not turn it over to production. Or maybe complete 50 wells, turn them over to production, and shut in 75 other wells.Brettj3876, JoeyJunk and Siinman Thank this.
