lol, I had 3 wipers fly off a 06 columbia in a year. Those stupid clips dont hold very well, I used thread locker on the 4th and fixed that issue.
Troutkiller Thanks this. -
Change the oil and fuel filters and go through it with a grease gun if you haven't yet.

I drove a new truck with 18 miles on it that had sit for 11 months. After a week the airlines iced up I am guessing because the alcohol evaporated from the system.

How much did you pay for the truck? ANY pics?

Modern fuel is not as stable chemically as it used to be. Sitting allows components to separate.

did this truck sleep inside or out for 2 years if outside my concern would be how bad is the rust on the brake drums

Don't have any pics in my phone right now but I will gladly post some pics of my ugly blue detroit powered pirate ship tomorrow, and of the custom carbon fiber dash I built for it. Turned out kinda cool. Price was 12,500 but he split the cost of the new batteries and tires with me so 10k. Terms aren't bad either, get it Rollin and when I'm making money and can afford too, start giving him a little here and there.Last edited: Apr 21, 2015

I was/am worried about that. Didn't have much fuel in it so I ran it as close to empty as I dared. Then I changed the fuel filters at the truck stop when I filled it up and added Lucas fuel treatment. It's been almost 100k since the last time they "ran the head" so I'm gonna take it in for that before I put it on the road. I'll see what the mechanic can tell me about it then. There's a guy round here that is reputed to be "the guy" when it comes to detroits. But y'all know how that goes. I hate doing business with people that know more than me and I really hate learning the hard way!

Outside. Brake system looks good except for the rear axle. Shoes are thin and cracked on that one
