MGASSEL is correct. It all depends on the trainer. I had a good trainer. He was a pleasant man, clean, good sense of humor, and I could tell he was a family man. Loved his kids, and his wife.
I've heard similar reports of new hires being with trainers they like.
But, we've all heard the horror stories of the stinky, dirty, s-o-b that nobody can stand.
If you haven't been with a trainer yet, I wish you luck. Hope you get a good person, and good luck in the future.Last edited: Aug 30, 2008

Which company only requires 12 days with a trainer?

Hopefully you`ll get a good trainer.one who cares enough to actually teach and not just supplement their income.I`ve seen lots of "trainers" with little experience(less than 5 yrs).Makes me wonder what they are actually "training."

I was with a trainer for 3 months. Pulling a tank we never slept in the truck. I was in a hotel if we were out overnight. That only happened once. Mostly it was local work or 500 mile round trip runs that can be done in one day.

It definitely depends on the person you get 'blessed' with. My first trainer sucked and was a pig, my second one was decent and we had a lot of fun. I learned from both of them, but learned the most from my second. My hubby got lucky, and got a gem the first time, so stayed with him. He had the choice of staying out the full time with one trainer or taking a week off paid, and would end up with a different guy when he came back. He reserved the decision until he saw what the guy was like. He liked him enough to stay with him the whole time. We are still friends with the guy too.
