8 isn’t enough better than 30 to make a difference. At that point, only employers that aren’t worth working for are going to talk to you.

I do know what all 30 bad jobs had in common: you.

So I just did some math. He's 26 years old, been a CDL-A holder since 20, so that's 6 years. You mean to tell me, that you've had at least 5 jobs in each year you've been a driver? I think you like orientation more than driving.

    tscottme Thanks this.

One of my friends changes jobs every two months and never has any problems.

Never be loyal to a company. If you dont like it then find another one because they dont give a crap about you.

Trucking companies are pretty much the same. He won't have a problem til he can't get hired on anywhere. I don't really know what folks are looking for when going to all these companies. The pay is similar. The job function is similar. Maybe he wants a different color of truck?

    Ruthless Thanks this.

That's extreme and kind of crazy. He shoots himself in the foot with a lot of lost income between jobs every year. Not to mention never really getting into any job enough to even see what he could really make there.

Bud A., tscottme and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.

That's a guaranteed way to never reach the top of the pay scale, and perhaps never even become fully vested in the 401(k).

Besides, who wants to be the FNG in perpetuity?

Albertaflatbed, Bud A., Numb and 2 others Thank this.
