When I put my turn signals on it really means that I am changing lanes and I need to get over, I will push my way into your lane until you let me in unless you want to be run off the road. And signals do not only apply to me, yours are there for a reason, use them.

I hauled loads that weigh well over 100,000 lbs, don't cut me off at the last second because you were not paying attention and missed your exit, go to the next one and turn around, I see this happen so much, is it really worth risking your life over?

Speaking of not paying attention, why doesn't everyone get their head out of their ##### and pay attention to driving, 9 times out of 10 when you look down at a car they are either on the phone or texting. Put the #### phones down.

Nothing irritates me more than when some impatient driver thinks that flashing his high beams at me is going to make me get out of his way. You will not intimidate me with your little car and your highbeams, this only makes me very mad, and if tapping the brakes does not make you back off, maybe a faceful of gravel from the shoulder will. I have just as much right to be in the left lane and pass as anyone else, and I am so tired of all these drivers and their "me first" attitude, I have seen people almost get themselves killed just to get ahead, and in the end they really do not get that far ahead because I always seem to catch up with them down the road.

Another thing that drivers just can't seem to get right is merging, either speed up and get in front of wait and get in behind because I will only get over if absolutly neccesary,

And probably the most important is to stay out of blind spots, it is not a good idea to be driving along beside a truck because there is a good chance he can not see you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again (because it happened AGAIN this morning)

YOUR JACKED UP F-BUCK-FIFFY IS NOT A TRUCK!

Please park your rolling JC Whitney catalog up front with the REST of the 4 wheelers and stop taking up valuable Tractor Trailer spaces!

I'll cut some slack to the contractors pulling trailers but this chuckle-head really cheesed me off this morning. (WAWA on Rt. 30 in East PA.) I think he even pulled open my trailer door because he thought I was too close to him. I should have blocked him in untill I was finished buying MY coffee!

You'll push your way into my lane... and if I don't let you in you'll run me off the road? How professional.... :biggrin_25513:

If I'm caught in the wrong lane, I put on my turn signal and hope someone will cut me a break. If they don't, though, I remain in my lane until I can safely make the change.

After reading thru this post it's obvious that truckers will never have any love for us 4-wheelers but is it really neccesary to personally insult the ones asking questions, trying to help? Insulting from either side just cancels out any progress that might be made. And granted it's probably only 1%, but there are a few of us out there that know how to share the road with ya'll. Enough from the soapbox tho, I do have a valid point to bring up.. If the DOT was really about safety, why isn't there some kind of mandatory program that would educate class D's about sharing the road with big trucks? both in the defensive driving classes you take as a teen and maybe in weekend form for the older drivers. Good driving skills aren't solely the responsibility of the big rigs

so Lil Devil, let me get this straight... I'm in back of you on a two lane highway, we're both in the right lane and I see up ahead that we're approaching an on ramp, and there's a bigrig gettin' on and needs to get into our lane. I could just screw you both by passing you slowly...you'll have to slow down to let your fellow bigrigger enter your lane...but instead I choose to get into the passing lane and hang back and let you over in front of me (I flash my brights signalling to you to come over into the left lane) According to your statement, you're likely gonna get over in front of me and instead of thanking me with your brakelight flash, you're gonna pull into the gravel in front of me, spraying me with a faceful of gravel.
So by trying to help me fellow man...you, by keeping you from slowing down, and the entering trucker, by initiating an open lane for him by my getting to the left, thereby slowing the left lane traffic behind me, so you can get over. YOU'RE gonna thank me by treating me with a windshield repair. Inevitably, I'm gonna hit my brakes to attempt to avoid your onslaught, the guy behind me will hit his brakes harder and the girl 4 cars behind texting, slams on her brakes in front of the gravel truck. Of course you don't see "that". You're laughing at me, and calling your investment broker, telling him to increase your holdings in "Safe-lite Auto Glass". That should teach me a lesson. Good lookin out.

How about that lazy half ### working truck driver that doesn't do his PTI and hook's to a trailer but it doesn't couple properly and you just happen to be drafting that guy's truck and the trailer decide's to make a break for it guess what! YOUR SCREWED and don't think that "oh ####" handle will do you much good! And I highly doubt in a situation like that, that you will have time to stick you head in between your leg's and kiss your ### goodbye. With such a situation a truck could make it a mile or a hundred miles down the road before it happen's.

how can a 4 wheeler best help an 18 wheeler? Stay the #### outta the way.

I won't hold this to Class E license holder's either because some Class A holder's drive just as stupid when they get out of the truck and into their family car like that completely forgot everything the second the door closed and it's not governed so they have to drive like they are in the Indy 500.

I guess you have never driven in Montreal in heavy traffic, there are a lot of merges in Montreal you have no choice but to push your over way because nobody will let you in, they do not cut you a break there. I would sit there all day waiting to "safely" make the lane change.

Strangest town I ever drove in.

Turn the blinker on and not one person accepts it. Move a bit toward the lane and it opens up.
