It's kinda hard to ask a request like that when the signs the state puts up on the roadside only says to slow down or move over for emergency, maintenance, or law enforcement vehicles. Unfortunately, trucks ain't on that list even when a road service truck is there with all the yellow lights burnin'......

If only them people knew how scary it is to be on the shoulder of a free way with blazin traffic whizzing by. I'll bet some of those four-wheelers that have seen what its like to have a big truck who can't get moved over, go by in the granny-lane when they're sittin on the shoulder......

Fortunately, I haven't had much problem with this.... Its the merging four-wheelers that expect me to just move the #$%& over and move everyone else on the left of me over too.

RE-OCCURRING NEWS FLASH PEOPLE..... THE ON-RAMP DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY.

That yield sign is facing the traffic on the ramp, not the traffic on the highway. I'll do my best to move over just to return the favor but in heavy traffic, that's not always possible. But if its late at nite, or on a non-busy Sunday afternoon and your the only car comin up the onramp, by all means, feed a little speed to your ride. If your comin up the ramp all slow like a turtle, then don't expect us to move over when you had plenty of time and plenty of power to get up to speed long before we get there.

I didn't read the whole thread so if I'm repeating it............ Please please!!!! turn your headlights on in the rain so I can see you. My drives kick up alot of mist and I cannot see you. The headlights allow me to judge your location. ( much better )

    Thank you for your support....

One note that's a big pet-peeve of mine:

Don't follow me, please. I go slow because I don't want people to follow me. Why? I don't know if you want to rob me or not; so if you follow me for a long period of time, I'm on the phone with the highway patrol.

And don't take 15-30 minutes before you figure out that "Oh, there's a passing lane here for a reason". If the posted limit is 70 and I'm going 60, why catch me then tailgate me for 30 miles, then pass me? Pass me when you catch me. If were on a secondary road that's a two way highway, pay attention to the center line. If it's spotted, this means you can use the oncomming lane to pass (when the oncomming lane is clear). When it's solid, this means "do not pass".
