Wow shows you need to do way more studying. Most of these places are pulling dry boxes for over 3.00mi in the northeast, some places like where I last worked pulled loads for 4.00+ a mile every day. That's how they can and they make bank off the drivers

You’ll find that in most cases the best paying driving jobs are companies that don’t make their money from trucking.

    That's not all that true.

Many companies who have trucks for deliveries pay lower than prevailing wages in many markets than do companies whose main line of work is trucking where they have to pay a prevailing wage in those markets,

You twisted my quote, I didn’t say all companies that had trucks but didn’t make their money from trucking paid better. I said higher paying driving jobs are with companies that don’t make their money from trucking, there’s a difference.

I actually have seen this in the real world. Today I know many truckers. They drive for general carriers and others for private fleets. As a general rule (if I am being told the truth) the private fleet drivers are actually home more and make more money. I only know of 2 drivers that don't drive for a general carrier that make more then $75K a year the rest is $60K a year or under. The average yearly pay for the private fleet drivers I know is 65K a year.
