Dang that sucks man , it's probably ur company has set it up in the engine computer to keep the truck from idling in order to save fuel... The only thing that might work is if u know where the temp sensors are.. Put a lighter or hand warmers and glitch out the truck to think it's hotter than it is and it should work

Apparently, even hibernating isn't helping. :biggrin_25513:

I agree. Most of the old tricks to bypass the auto shutdown can be disabled on a case by case basis. I am not a mechanic but I was told not too long ago that even holding a throttle open will only work so long with some settings. I tried that one time to keep my engine running so the air would build up as I did my walk around. The engine had quit by the time I got back inside. Got something to do with the computer looking at how the engine is working. It's all in how the computers are setup. All those bypasses can be disabled.

On my 2014 Cascadia, I just press the cruise control button, and then press the “set” button, and the RPMs rise to 900. My truck doesn’t let me manually select the RPM I want like in other trucks I’ve had. 900 works well, though, and I think it’s recommended in the manual for heating/cooling purposes.

If it's your truck you can have it reprogrammed. If it's a company truck you're out of luck.
