This questions sounds like 1 of those that veterans with years and years of experience will be able to answer, so I post it here!

The reason I ask this question is because, the most serious, highway traffic crippling accidents almost always involve a roll over.

If I know HOW can I roll over my set, then I'll know what I should never do in emergency situations to avoid the worst, like if it means I am going to kill 1 of those ####### suicidal 4 wheeler, so be it. :biggrin_25522:

Go too fast around a corner.

Drive in 90mph wind with empty trailers.

Go on a 35% slope sideways.

There are other methods, to be sure. I just wanted to touch on some of the obvious ones.

And, less than a year ago, you were one of those ####### suicidal 4 wheelers. I'm not quite sure you've graduated yet.

Let one of your steer wheels go off the pavement into soft sand.

If you have Covenant, USA, or Werner on the side, the truck will roll over for you without even moving it.

I have been trucking and making a living off of a truck for 10 years in Canada, so although I only have 1 year safe driving on a rig I personally think I am doing reasonably well compare to others with 1 year experience.

What bother me is something like this, happened this Monday, the weather condition was perfect so no rain no snow:

A semi hauling a 53" flip over on a stretch of Hwy 401 near Toronto, the road was straight with 5 lanes of traffic going 1 direction...

It involved a 4 wheeler of course! But how did the trucker do it? How can someone flip over under such circumstances? If I know how he did it then I will know what not to do to prevent it!

My favorite method is just going off a steep cliff I do it all the time then I respawn back at base with a new truck...

That night, 4 out of 5 lanes on that major route was closed, massive traffic jam. And we were discussing on the CB and wondering how did the guy do it...

It was inconclusive so I just want to keep this discussion going and wondering if the experienced veterans on this forum can chip in and teach me a few things! Thanks!
