    Well the reason why i don't want to do that is cuz i got the tractor brand new and I've only put 148k mi on and it its only 4yrs old....kinda why i don't want to give it up

    I wouldn't cut the frame for this problem. Get a set of sleeper extensions. Either stock length or longer. You can also extend the track forward for the fifth wheel. This will allow you to tuck the trailer up closer to the truck. You'll have to make sure the landing etc clears and also check steer axle weight too. I just think you won't see the fuel saving to justify shortening the frame.
