I was picking some meat up in Chicago (culinary off s ashland) and I saw a few signs in bold that said "Danville loads have priority". They weren't kidding. Them boys were in and out in a jiffy.

How is this? Does a company pay more for this?

Usually this is done with a core carrier.

Usually someone who has negotiated a contract, and holds their customer to that contract with stiff fines and penalties. As long as things go right at all stops...everybody is happy. And everybody saves/makes money.

Many "core" carriers are the prefered carrier of at least one of the parties. So they have a bit more weight when it comes to the other end.

I know alot of those drivers are local and getting paid by the hour, hence their companies don't want them waiting around. Otr, you know how that is with a company that does'nt pay detention, you'll have to wait for hour's or day's.
