It looks fine to me. I come at it from a different approach but to the same end. I look at what the costs of the business are then what do I need to take out of the business. So based on your numbers you are at $1.02/mile to run the truck. And then $.70 is driver pay.

Also, do you have cell phone, data card, load board, internet access, etc.??

Ohio, what company are you leased to that you can get $1.70+ from? The only guys I have seen that try to average that are Landstar and maybe some smaller % of pay companies.

Landstar hardly computer out to over $1.72 for all miles. When I was there, pulling a van, I was avg $1.23 on all my miles. Then again, pay per mile isn't always the main thing, many other factors such as WEIGHT, product ect make a big difference too. I currently avg $1.43 per mile for my round-trip I do to Texas every week. But I make more because I pull 4,500lbs of product down and come back empty. My fsc is more than I actually send in fuel due to this, and I bring home .85cpm after all my expenses. I am doing well, so rate is important but not always the key factor in running a truck.

what ever you say man...i'm glad it's working for you. nothing wrong with being modest in life, and i have no reason not to wish you the best, just...i think you will need lots of luck to stay in your business for some longer time with your kind of attitude. just my opinion.

Yes, that is true. Had one of those paid mt return gigs and did well with it.

I'm not leased on to landstar but pull a lot for them and haven't had a load less than $ 2/mile. I do see alot of cheaper stuff just don't be bother with it.

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out their system. I wound up running mainly with an agent out of Chicago to Miami loaded for $3.25 and I'd just bobtail back.
