I own my own trucking company.
I pull dry van.
I clear over 3 grand a week. But I live in ky, and I run the southeast.
I'm out between 4 and 5 weeks sometimes two months and take a 7 to 10 days off, and in the winter I go home right before Thanksgiving and come out first week of march.
The ? Is do you know of direct shippers, not load boards, not your Buddy said this or that.
Like the trucker above if you cant net 80 k or more a year go work for a company.
There are over 4 million OOS in the USA if we could be home daily and net 2000 grand a week don't you think we would of already figured out how to?
how can you achieve this in oklahoma

I think 2500 week b4 tax coming home a few days a week and weekends is possible but not take home 2k.
I am looking to haul grain and be home weekends and maybe a night or two during week . hoping to make 2k b4 tax . got to pay for that truck. -
If you make 2 k before taxes you will last long. Plan on spending no less than about 1500 a week on deisel, if truck takes def, add about 50 more a week for fuel exspense,
Need about 500 to 700 for a maintance account,
So if you gross 2 k a week minus 1500 for fuel, leaves you 500 ave truck payment is 300 to 600 a week then you got insurance, and taxes 2290 heavy road tax which is 550 every year plus 1400 to 1700 for renewing cab card a year. Depending on what oklahoma charges. This is why most drivers cant make it as oo cause they have no clue what the actual costs are to operate they just calculate fuel, and truck payment that's only 1/3 of the bills. Then maintance and taxes is the other 1/3 and insurance is about 6% of what you will net a year.markk Thanks this. -
