I live about 70 miles north of Memphis Tennessee. There are alot of trucking companies in Memphis. Do i live too far from the terminals. Do most companies allow you to take the truck home and dispatch you from there. Just wondering??

This question is best answered by the company you plan to work for regarding what there policy is about taking their trucks home. In most cases they should let you take the truck home. Another Question you should is (especially if you past any Coops) about post and pre trips when you go home. Most companies will not pay you for going home with the truck or coming back on-duty to your pick up load. If you are able to take the truck home make sure that you fuel up before you deliver your load so you can go straight to ur p/u w/o having to waste time fueling. It will make a good show that you are ready to run when getting off hm/tm.

If you have a "safe" place to park the truck, most will allow you to park it at (or pretty close to) your home while you're on break. What a company calls "safe" depends on the outfit, but common sense rules.
