How come I never see any trucks with OOIDA decals anymore?

Because OOIDA won't send them out anymore, I have the thick plastic emblems OOIDA sent out 7 or so years ago on the back of my pickups windows, They barely stick on in this cold weather after being moved from truck to truck to truck to truck to truck to truck to truck.

I keep sending them renewal money but they never send out new stickers

 

I peeled the OOIDA stickers off my truck and replaced them with these when I hung one of these worthless time wasting money losing electronic POS off my dashboard. I'm still a dues paying member but disappointed that big business won the EOBR battle.

 

Yeah I need some sensible flexibility to work with. I'm having to do way too many stupid, mostly wide awake, 8 hour "rest breaks" due to inefficiencies in the supply chain not of my own making. It's like it's still business as usual for everyone except the drivers. I've lost out on plenty of revenue this year. I know it will increase capacity and adversely affect rates if they give us flexible HOS but I really dont give a #### anymore. Sick and tired of running against a clock all the time when I go home.

 

We use that Omni Tracks system, it's pretty silly.

 

In a way you can thank OOIDA for the 30 minute break also. That was one of their main talking points and part of their prepared comment for drivers to copy and paste back when people were upset about the 14 hour clock. They all basically said the same thing about not being able to stop and eat or stop and take a break. So being the problem solvers that they are, FMCSA mandates the 30 minute break.

 

We all need to punish those inefficient supply chains by not meeting their schedules, or not moving their freight at all. That's how I do it. You should too.

 

I miss OOIDA stickers... I want one..
