How come no one mentioned how much work is involved for authority audit?

During this process I recently discovered that I have to save fuel receipts I always relied on credit card statements so that is one thing. I may have to hold off on it then. It wasn't my intention to get it now it was just that my broker pissed me off but we have come to an understanding now (I hope)

It doesnt take a lawyer, if you got your authority using a licensing agency and not just filing wjatever over the internet, you just take everything they've sent you and put it all in a binder and the officer will help you find your ###, without fines one time. I had my dad to help me so it didn't seem real bad to me, you should be able to call a licensing agency, just about anywhere and they can tell you what exactly is what.

If I can get a passing grade on my new entrant audit any one can.

No one hates paperwork worse than I do and I made it fine

Don't take this wrong but if you ain't saving receipts either in physical or electrical form .... maybe you need to be working for someone else.

Saving receipts and knowing where you are financially is business 101.

If this is your first audit where you got the authority less than a year ago, the audit is super simple. Just did it and although its called an audit its just to point you in the right direction so you know what is expected of you. The others audits may be different but i haven't done those. good luck.

I can track every penny at any time via a quickbooks type setup I created myself I just never saved the receipts. You can ask me how much I spent on a server in 2004 amd I can pull it up instantly.

So if the irs asks to see a receipt for your computer servers you say you didn't keep them but you think it's all good because you entered it into quick books? Did you keep an electronic copy of receipts? That's your proof of your claimed expense....

Yeah as gokid said, is this a substitute for actual receipts? I would love to see you in an IRS audit with a prick auditor who wants to make points for advancement, they will say disallowed so many times, you will come out of the audit feeling raped.
