Ever see a small nozzle shoot fuel everywhere after popping out of the tank? It isn't pretty, and the cleanup is expensive. You'd best be watching it closely, if you're doing that. That "Not Resposible For Spills" sign isn't just whistling Dixie.
How come you never see bobtails at regular gas stations?

I've Bob tailed to regular gas station.
To get smokes.
If you fueled bobtail and it was a full service fuel lane with attendants, couldn't you log off duty?TruckRunner and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Most gas stations have clearance vertically, but it sucks having to deal with cars in the limited space. More often than not, someone in a gas vehicle will be using the only pump with diesel. I don't expect them to know better, and if it was specifically for diesels they wouldn't put gasoline on the same pump, but it can add to the already long time it is going to take.

The difference is the big truck fuel stops know they can rip us off because we can’t easily get in to smaller fueling facilities.
One of them told me once that they had to charge more for the use of there high volume pumps along with providing a slave pump for the other side.Rideandrepair, mslashbar, Blackshack46 and 2 others Thank this. -
Blackshack46 and Oldironfan Thank this.

no laws against who can fuel up. most gas station canopies are like at 14.0 feet, at least the one i go to (with my car)...canopies are clearly marked.
the fuel hose can be easily put across the cat walk to the other tank.TruckRunner Thanks this. -
