One news said it was a tanker truck that flipped on it's side on the off ramp. Another news agency said it was in a yard parked. My past experiences tells me the news don't get it right. So who knows. I do know that the picture on line was of an ARCO station with the fire behind it. If it wasn't an ARCO truck or who ever, ARCO will be pissed. I can not find the picture on line anymore so I'm sure the representatives for that company forced the news people to take it down.
How about it "Lovespink" was it one of yours. I bet Ben Mar++++++ is shocked if it was. I hate to say it but that what happens when you fire all the experienced drivers.
How did this happen?

2 Injured After 9,000-Gallon Gas Tanker Leaks, Explodes In South LA
Lots of news reports by searching "200 block of West Slauson Avenue about 7:45 a.m. tanker exploded"speedyk Thanks this. -
Maybe somebody was trying to steal gas?
-
Or the tank was leaking.

I dunno if the PFG level drivers exist in the gas can world or not, but surprised there's not more of these.
I hired on b to do chemicals once. The guy giving the orientation via CCTV, was an old hand, like 30 years at that company.
Near the end he explains he just did like 3 months in the hospital with chemical burns, do to another driver not emptying a hose.
The terminal manager lifts his shirt up and shows his burnt stomach, like 3 days in the hospital, shirt fused to body, same cause, different driver.
That was a rap for me. Quit right there.speedyk Thanks this. -
I briefly hired at a fuel company, the wrong one for several reasons. One of which was that the guy teaching me laughed about how sometimes one gets splashed with fuel. I felt like that was a sign that he didn't know what he was doing.

The tanker parked in a storage lot was one of the news stories that came out. I have a feeling that was what happened. But what I find funny is ARCO. The net had a picture of an ARCO station with the fire on the side of it. It looked like it was an ARCO truck making a delivery and caught fire. I saw it then I went back to find it and it was gone. I'm sure the public relations people saw it and had them take it down.
