What, you don't sleep with yours every night, or don't understand a joke?

Id give him the boot now. 5 weeks is a long time to be in a small space with someone you aren't feeling... I've been there and done that... Until it blew up... No good... Call your company and tell them you need another trainer

    driverdriver and Mike2633 Thank this.

My training lasted 2 weeks, and the moment I sat down in the truck for the first time, I was already a better driver than my trainer will ever be. Not saying that out of arrogance either. I'm still amazed I made it thru the 2 weeks without breaking his nose.

Literally the very first words he said as soon as we got in the truck the very first time, was "drive it like you stole it." I hadn't even put the truck in gear yet. At first I thought he was joking, but it didn't take long to realize he was totally serious. He tailgated whenever possible, solely on principle. Minivan full of kids? Doesn't matter, ride their bumper. He would order me to do the same, and get hissy when I didn't.

His pretrip consisted of putting himself on duty and then playing Candy Crush for 15 minutes. He always left his engine brake on, high setting, even in parking lots. He idled 24/7, no matter the weather. 67 degrees and mostly sunny? Idle the truck all day and night, because idling is what truckers do. He would turn on the dashboard heat before going to sleep, then in the middle of the night he would decide that he was hot, so he would turn on the sleeper AC to fight it out with the dashboard heat all night, and I would wake up on the edge of hypothermia.

He would fart as loudly as possible, for entertainment. He would wake up in the middle of the night, step out of the truck, and take a wizz on his own drive tire - knowing full well that I would be out there in a couple hours trying to teach myself how to do a pretrip while he played Candy Crush. Did I mention he never brushed his teeth? Not once. Not that he had many teeth left. But the few that he did have were all pitch black, so you couldn't tell where teeth ended and empty darkness began. And he was only like 30 years old.

It was easy to assume he never used a washcloth anywhere on his body either. Although we did stop for a shower once, but he was done way before me. And we don't even need to talk about the times he tried to molest me. Yes, times as in plural. The only reason I didn't get a new trainer was because I didn't want to start the 2 weeks over again, and I was so much bigger than him that I could have snapped his neck in an instant. Anyway, carry on, nothing to see here.

Sounds like your trainer has finally reached his limit and shouldn't be training any longer.Ask the company for another trainer only this time with patience.

I was lost on that too. How did the trainers wife get dragged into this lol -
At any rate, I was out for 7 weeks with a trainer. Would have been 6, but we took a week off in Florida. I just kept telling myself its part of the deal and gutted it out.
It twerent easy I'll tell you for sure -
    Best of Luck -
