Are you learning your craft? You're not there to make friends. Can he explain things in a way that you can understand? Did he teach you Time Management? Even with elogs, you have to be strategic with your time.

"But Six, it's cold at night...."

Turn the AC down or climb under a blanket.

"But Six, he never brushes his teeth."

Be glad that you don't have to kiss him. Others have consented to buttsex. If he's teaching you to drive, he's doing his job. You do your job and get done with training.

    Luck in battle.

Money Hungry Trucker, Run Hard Get Paid...etc. For some reason, everyone thought that they were on vacation. It's trade school. You're there to learn a trade, not to be friends. He mentioned his trainer's personality. Usually they complain about the trainer running the truck like a team. Which do you want?

    <<<<<<<<<FOCUS>>>>>>>>>>

What are we there for? So many quit before getting issued their truck. Big mistake. When they go to another company they have to ride with another trainer. Every time you get out of one trainer truck into another, you postpone your goal. Be glad your trainer doesn't want to kiss and cuddle.

Must be eaten from the can. Eaten directly from the can it will produce enough gas to fill a hot air balloon, and a stench that cannot be described.

You should already have a driver manager or better yet a advocate within your company's structure assigned to you, that maintains a file with your name on it.

Talk to that advocate on the phone privately. Without the trainer around. Explain to the advocate that personality conflicts prevent a potential success in this training manuver with that particular trainer.

Ive done some training in my time, the very last thing I want to do is crush a trainee making him or her think they cannot ever do right. At some point they have to overcome what I can maybe detect fears of something before they do get a hold of that truck for themselves. Just like my instructors did to me.

Change trainers quietly. Do not make a scene or announce to your current trainer that he or she is being difficult. It will only make things worse.

Im not sure exactly how it will play out in your situation. But when dealing with difficult people who walk on water and can do no wrong in their own worlds are among the toughest people to deal with in trucking. You learn to tune them out blah blah blah. and move on with your own life asap.

Luckily, of the 4 students he trained in his training career, I was the only one who passed straight into my own truck. One couldnt stand it and requested a new trainer, and the other two failed their road tests. In an automatic. So they went back out with different trainers.

Later I heard he left the company to do teams somewhere else but quit after 10 days because his co-driver punched him. So then he came back and apparently found a team driver who could put up with him. I'd hate to learn that a used truck I bought had been driven by them for a day.

Never mind someone abusing a used truck.. worry about the basic BAD equiptment purchased or leased by numbnut officers within a company who should not be lured in by sweet honeyed words from sales people...

White Commodore COE's come to mind.... oh my aching back...(Actually I should consider myself very stupid to hire on to such a outfit.... ow....)

Ask your trainer without whining, if he can ease up while training you. He makes money to train . It's in his interest to keep you on the truck. If bridges between you & him are already burned, just get another trainer. Tell them your personalities aren't matching & little else. Don't give a detailed history of the world trying to explain why it's not working out, unless he's obviously dangerous. If it's a judgement call, just say "personality differences".

8 weeks is hard. That's what I did. Theve shortest path to your own truck is finish your time with current trainer, IF POSSIBLE.

My stint with my trainer was tough . Very old conservative guy who could not crack a smile . Had no business training anyone , on different occasions I had other drivers or receivers compliment me on backing but old dude took it like I #### on him . My trainer made me question myself many times and more than once I had to tell him to chill . I sucked it up did my miles and got my stuff off his truck , stick it out finish and move on . Bite your tongue keep your eyes forward .
