bell curves...
both sides are extremes. I have a buddy of mine I give a hard time to because he leaves the house and only shuts if off when he gets home 2-3 weeks later. Just as extreme to idle it that much.
Somewhere in the middle is a happy medium. That's what I shoot for. I don't like to idle my truck when I go in to pay for fuel or eat. It's wasted fuel and extra wear.
I shut it down at toll plaza's only because I can't hear the person otherwise over the big engine. (rare I do just that but I have). -

THAT is a nice feature. I wish my truck would do that.

Peterbilt used to have 3,5,10 minute switches, wire them right at the switch.

Drove mine right off the dealer's lot. I'm camping in it right now.

My dad came up with 7 grand and I bought a T-600 KW with a CAT from a dealer. Bad first engine and way to costly to own for my first truck. It almost broke me if not for credit cards. I did learn the hard way to put away more than half of my revenue for breakdowns and repairs. I also got educated in big truck motors.

Thats outright dishonesty if you havent noticed. Yea you may have gotten away with what appears to be a good deal but anything started on the foundation of dishonesty can never have a solid foundation to stand on. And I say its dishonest because you knew that there was a mistake made and on top of that insisted that they lower the price even further.. thats going above and beyond the call of duty.
Hope the newbies reading this realize 2 things from this story. Either this guy is full of it or he got extremely lucky. Don't count on the same luck when you go to buy from SNI as most of their used company trucks are junk.
