Here's a stat for ya', I read, 55% tried to quit in the last year, however, only 8-10% actually make it a year. Sounds like truck driver stats. Even when people say they quit, evidence has shown, they still sneak a cigarette once in a while. Usually, a major health concern is time for quits, but usually too late. Good luck, pal.

I posted early on in this thread; cold turkey worked for me. 3-packs a day to zero.

I quit smoking around Christmas of 2012. Vaping kind of exploded into a thing around that time. I used it to quit. I started out with higher percentage of nicotine in the vape and eventually tapered it down to no nicotine then tossed my vape in the trash. I don't remember how long I was vaping probably around 6 months or so. Best thing I ever did.

Friend of mine and myself used to jog on the beach in Florida and would both smoke and drink whiskey from a hip flask at the same time. We thought we were tough guys and immune to health problems.
He was a SARC Navy Corpsman.
A SARC is a Navy corpsman who's gone through a pipeline of training to earn the title of SARC. Their schooling consists of Basic Reconnaissance Course, Amphibious Reconnaissance Course, Marine Combatant Diver's Course, Basic Airborne Course and the Special Operations Combat Medic Course.Flat Earth Trucker and austinmike Thank this. -
