How do I become a truck driver in America?

Well, there is (or was...) another way to get in. Irish bars do this all the time, claim that they can't get people to work, and import 'fellow countrymen' to come over and work on a work visa. Then they get married (often just for convenience), get a green card, etc. I know there are Polish and Indian-owned trucking companies mostly out of Chicago and New York that do this. It helps if you are politically connected, because often just an email from a congressman can get you the work visa. So, there are ways....
