Whenever I see "fleet maintained" I'm reminded that "extended intervals" exist. It'd be one thing if they had samples pulled and tested, but no, it just means 30-40k oil change intervals.

My first gig at a mega , they changed the oil at 60k intervals.
And shipped em down the road at about 300k.

SO we argued about this until I finally said, "I own the truck and appreciate his concern for the truck, but it is my truck ... if it's going to blow up, it is on me, not him so change it when we have it scheduled for a change".
That truck has 834,593 miles (I just looked from todays log), it has not had any problems with the engine other than the emissions crap.bryan21384, Gearjammin' Penguin, 88 Alpha and 3 others Thank this. -

Oil samples are usually shot around 600 hours which is 8000-12000 miles depending on how often i leave it idleing for coal chute unloads or C/C. Mine falls firmly into severe duty so 10k oil is what she gets.bryan21384, Long FLD, blairandgretchen and 3 others Thank this.
