Glad you got it taken care of and that the judge did the right thing. Shame the trooper didn't show up, would have loved to hear what she would have to say for herself when presented with the facts... Good luck in your search for a new company!

Congrats on your escape. Now that it is all done and gone, please answer the real question that we want to know. The trooper, how did she look?:biggrin_255:

Inquire how you can get it removed thru the court system...You will want to check your drivers report at the DMV in a few weeks.. Not sure how long they take to hit your record.... Might want to get to crankin out the apps n get hired before it hits your record... Prove to someone your a worthy driver... N deal with the ramifications after the fact

hahaha! there are a few mega-numbered posters that should indeed eat that crow but will not.a couple know everything about nothing it seems and yet stand adamant in their opinions.I am thinking one of them does not even drive a cmv.you can not simply chalk an instance like the op's up to experience, accepting it,even though several on here demanded that he do so. anyway-

KUDOS to the op for seeing this ordeal through and standing up to the man,er woman in this instance.I too am curious how the female trooper looked, bullish or like a normal woman that just happens to be an LEO.

I have shown up in courts for tickets and had them dismissed because the officer did not attend.they don't tell you that before hand, rather asking if you want to plead out.WHY? i am here for the duration and whatever happens, happens. 15 minutes later-case dismissed.they try so hard for that revenue, even at the last minute.I had no idea that the courts still dismissed cases for traffic tickets if the officer does not show, thinking instead that they have worked around such instances, all for the revenue.

i think you are correct.the violation will show up on some record for the OP simply because. There may be points, probably not,but the ticket will show more than likely.stay on top of this as it does not even need to be listed whether points are zero or not.it will cause hiring problems if it does.stay on top of this OP by getting a copy of your mvr routinely and your dac as well.

you must have missed the part where he was found not guilty, proved with records he hadn't texted. he was found innocent, it wont be on his record. at least not mvr. now the level 2 is a different story, but he can data q that

wish i could declare that to be extremely accurate sbm. i have had tickets dismissed yet they still appeared on my mvr EVEN THOUGH there were zero points.the fact that i was ticketed was on there.i stayed on it until it no longer even showed up because it was supposed to be as if it never happened when it was dismissed.

I got pulled over today in Kentucky but I drive for a company in ohio. I didn't get cited but it states a violation of 392.82a1 using a mobile device. .. wasn't texting or talking the phone fell on the floor and I picked it up.... that doesn't matter I had it in my hand regardless.
My question is did you get hit with any fines from FMCSA? is it really
    2750 for the 1st violation?
