So...I need to find a company livestock job and I don't know exactly how to do it. One guy told me to check with local slaughter houses and auction houses. I'm gonna do that, but I would like another opinion on what to do. Like I said, I'm looking for a COMPANY livestock, cattle hauling job. Anything right now. I already have my CDL's, I just need a job.

    Thanks!!!!:biggrin_25515:

There are some folks on here real familiar livestock hauling so I'm sure somebody can help you. The only ones I know are Aschoff Trucking out of Nebraska, Phoenix Trucking out of Nebraska and Kansas, and Hilker Trucking out of Kansas. These are pretty small companies I think but there ya go. I'll post more if I think about anymore.

That's right MACK, You almost have to have exp. to haul livestock. The movement of the animals, the trl. being topheavy, haveing to get in the dirt, and slop, with the cattle to load them. You can't be afraid of getting kicked, hit or bruised up either.
Your best bet is to find a small co. or an individual that has a couple trucks. Some farmers haul cattle and also have other trls. like grain or flats so you get a well rounded hauling exp. Where do you live? You have to be in the "livestock lane" also.

I live in North Carolina. There's a Stockyard not to far from my house. I didn't know if I could go up there and see if they had anything or what to do.
