    man, thats cool. I wish i could do interstate, but ill have to wait till im 21. But man, that College sounds like a good deal, plenty of driving and experience for ya huh?

    Yeah, and it costs the same as the school you're going to.
    A lot of it has to do with the person taking the course. When i graduate will I be 100% ready to drive? no. Nobody is. That's why most companies require 1 year otr experience.
    You're young enough that if you can learn everything you can, and when you take this lot job, back up the trailers as much as you can. It's simple to drive down a free-way. Backing is probably the hardest thing you can learn that is 100% on your shoulders. A lot of the maneuvering through traffic is trying to pay attention to what the OTHER guy is doing. And you dont have control over the 17 year old girl who is more interested in texting her friends then seeing the 18 wheeler she's about to hit.
