I rolled my own truck, hauling a container on an exit ramp, #106, off of I-65 in Indianapolis. There was no speed or roll over warning signs on ramp. I was going 40 MPH. The load shifted and over I went onto my passenger side. My freightliner was totaled. I've hired ROADLAW to go to court about this. BUT....I can't find a job as a company driver. No one will hire me because of the roll over. Can anyone tell me how I can get a driving job? I've got bills to pay! Please help me!
Thanks!
John
How do I get another driving job after a rollover?

It's hard. You can find companies to hire you....it just takes some searching. Most will require something like 3 years after the rollover before they'll consider it, but like I said...there are some companies that will put you on. It just takes a bit of diligence on your part to find them.

Check that list by craig.
Somebody out there may hire you. -
Sounds like a bad deal there John. But maybe you can get on with a construction or aggregate company for a bit. They are not nearly as picky as the common carriers are.
Good luck, and welcome to the forum. -
Hold on a second. Were you cited by the local Cops ? Are you admitting to this on your apps? If you had an accident, no one was injured or cited, who is the wiser ? I suppose insurance companies might exchange loss info to other companies, but I would check. Don't shoot yourself in the foot needlessly.

Actually I know that ramp very well and it has a big bright yellow sign that says 25mph and shows a cloverleaf curve.
Anyway your only option right now will probably be a small outfit that has a questionable safety record at best and you'll scrape the bottom of the barrel on pay but it will keep you driving. Keep your nose clean for a while and then try to start moving back up. A friend of mine had to do the same thing a couple years ago when he rolled his company truck and got fired.kaykblair013 Thanks this. -
are you a typical container driver i would see along I-95 in the north east..??? you know, always speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, and such...???
5 to 10 miles SLOWER is what should have been done....under the posted speed limit for the ramp. now just because there wasn't any speed limit sign, you thought you could do as you wish...??
what are the POSTED speed limits for other exits you have taken..??
had you ever taken this particular exit before..??
you could have easily used some common sense and SLOWED WAY DOWN, if this was an exit you never took before...
i can see why you cannot get another job, you speed on ramps....
i cannot believe this thread.....just because there was no speed limit or roll over signs, you sped.......yep, that's as good an excuse as can be....Stubby T Slapnutt Thanks this. -

Man, I don't take an exit ramp that is posted at 40 any faster than 30 let alone that one you are talking about. You are telling us that it is not your fault and in doing so saying you learned nothing. I hope you do not find a job as a driver. I am on the roads in and around Indy weekly (including that ramp). Would feel safer with you at home.
