My husband is on a Wal Mart dedicated route with his mentor. They start out in Monroe, GA and go to surrounding states. They always end up back at the DC in Monroe, GA.
Last night, between 10 & 11, he called and they were at the DC for the night and waiting for a load. He usually calls in the a.m. before they get going. No call this morning and no calls all day long. He's supposed to be home today and I can't get him on his cell. It goes straight to voicemail.
Is there any way I can get in touch with him???
Just starting to worry a bit.
How do I get in touch with my husband?

Contact the company. They have direct communication with the trucks.
Hope all is well. -
I had tried to contact the company but the person that answered didn't quite seem to know what I wanted or if they could do it.
I finally heard from him around 9:30ish. Apparently they'd been running through some mountainy areas after dark and he didn't want to distract or be distracted by a phone. Smart for him...worrisome for me. :\ He's here, we're good, thanks for the help.SheepDog Thanks this. -
Glad to hear all is well. I know you are not a rookie at this but speaking from 20 years in the military and traveling to numerous places that I never want to go back to, don't make yourself sick over the missed calls. I know it's hard but just know/pray that everything is alright and he will call when he can. Modern technology is nice when we are separated making it easier to stay in touch but it also creates a lot of stress when things, in this case calls, don't go as we plan. It will make for long stressful days if you are unable to find some way to put your mind at ease. IMHO...
Stay healthy and safe -
UGA79 Thanks this.

Also remember that many areas are dead zones for phone service.
He might end up sitting for a day or two with no signal.
Always assume the best, unless you hear otherwise. -
I'm getting ready to do this trucking thing also and with some if not all phone company's have a app's that can help in alot of things providing that there is reception in the area-i have a iphone with att that has facetime and wife and kids can see me and i can see them as long as there is a wifi service and works really good-also some or all company's have a "chaperone" service that can track a phone with internet or another phone if the hubby doesn't mind having his phone tracked but for piece of mind for the home people it
is good i guess.

It might be nice if some of the experienced guys would let us poor saps at home know where the dead zones are, and what carrier you are using. If we know that our men are headed to a dead zone, we won't worry as much when we don't get that call.
UGA79 Thanks this. -
I bought a Wilson signal booster. The best $450 communication tool I have ever used. IF there is any signal you will get through. But there must be a signal to work with.
As far as dead zones .... to many to list.
I used to have AT&T. More bars in more places is a load of crap. I switched to Sprint and have never looked back. Verizon is also good, but AT&T is no good for me. I drove all 48 and Canada.
Also my phone has google maps on it with "Latitude" My wife can see where I am and track my movements. Also every morning when I started to roll I would send her a text message just to check in, even if she was asleep. That way ..... she rested better. -
If you need to contact him, call dispatch, they can always send him a Qual Com Message.
