Go to FMCSA website, complete form, enter credit card number for $300 payment, wait a few weeks, get insurance posted, get process agent, authority granted, you're now on the road to untold wealth and riches.

If you own a cash truck, you don't need your own authority. Just park it behind the house and grab some cash out of it as needed. I would put an alarm on it, though.

lol cash truck = no payments

Now i'm going from company driver to driver with own authority. I'm only age 22 but it's a new years resolution thing. Do I need a trailer? I just want to pull from load board until i build my company up. Currently, I will pay company 97% and me 3%. I only need food. I have no bills, i live with dad in cash house.

I dont want to be rude.....But its low-knowledged guys that come over here with 'cash truck' and destroy the market even further........No bills+Low knowledge= a brokers dream come true.

If your English is good enough to secure your own freight. Id say work with customers and leave the broker costodial freight boards alone. If Not, Go lease onto a container pool cartage company. You'll make some money

We independents are having a hard time without the help of the wind-up alarm clocks

You need authority, permits, insurance. Go to FMCSA website and start applying, grab all the permits, look for insurance, drug testing, activate and get a load board DAT and ITS or just one for starters, and start rolling. Also if you want to wait for brokers to pay use direct billing, if not, get favoring or quick pay %. Yes you need a trailer but there are PO loads, however good luck being a new company and just getting PO good paying loads. Anyways best of luck Gucci Mane!

Contact OOIDA "Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association". They can help you. Also NASTC "National Association of Small Trucking Companies".

You can do the work yourself but OOIDA can do it for you and make sure you don't miss anything.

Good luck. I did it on my own but that was before I knew about OOIDA. There is a lot to know and keep track of.
