now doing some local work making nowhere near as much and having thousands of dollars more in expenses that I didn't have when I was OTR....I actually have money now and have more of it, so ...how does that work?

If there is a a woman in your life, then this could account for up to 76% of your outgoing expenses.
Prices may vary according to location.
You should read the paper print out of your bank statements and look for expenditures that seem peculiar.
Once, I noticed $12 was being siphoned off each month, and it was from an Amazon Prime deal I never signed up for. A new debit card halted that little issue.
With all these scams on and offline, you really need to pay attention. I do this by checking my account balance fairly often.
Other ways scammers leech onto your finances is via POS skimmers at merchants. There's even devices that can acquire your debit card information by merely being close to you. An RFID blocking wallet can aid in this endeavor.
The only other suggestions I can make is to identify frivolous spending and cut it out.
Hope this helps.W923, austinmike, Freddy57 and 6 others Thank this.
