I have a 06 c-15 mxs converted to one turbo, and bullydog. After running it a year with no problems it throws the 95 code.
My mechanic nor cat dealer can seem to fix it. The two wiring harnesses under the valve cover has been changed out twice, course the intake low oil pressure switch has been changed several times, bullydog has repeatedly tried to reprogram the ecm. A test ecm has been tried. The wiring harness from the ecm forward has been replaced. The three cylinoids that the six iva's sit on have been replaced.
Any idea's?? Is there a way to program it so the engine does not derate after the code 95 comes on? Thanks for the help.
how do I keep a c-15 from derating

as i remember 95 code is for intake valve actuation system oil pressure, usually bad sensor.
try to check all parameter list related with engine protection and engine derate. If you see this parameter you can change it (but with password). -
I wonder if that sensor is something that could be tricked with a resistor to read what would be normal. I know I went through about 5 of those sensors from '06 to maybe '08 but haven't had an issue for years. Maybe I finally got a good sensor. Like most things, they're all built by the lowest bidder. A local fire truck mfg here is having issues with a water temp sensor on the new ISX. $5 sensor shuts the truck completely down, real handy when your in a hurry.
SHC Thanks this. -
Here for fire trucks we use to disable engine protection, warning only. It is easy to do with ISX and CAT.
If it is FIRE TRUCK - no engine protection shut down, no SCR fault derate, no Idle Shutdown. All engine protection is WARNING only. IMO, it is bettet to loose engine, then someone's life. -
How many fire fighters dose it take to push a fire truck 22 miles to the scene with a blown engine. And what ets are you getting at the track. If we blow a engine due to safety gizmos unhooked tax payers will not put a new power plant under the hood

yes, I understand, but on military trucks and fire trucks we use to disable protection dhut down.....
-
Likely the same number it would take to push a fire truck 22 miles to the scene with a faulty sensor that shut the engine down. The real difference is that, unless protection shutdown is disabled, they would have to push it EVERY time there was a false code. With the "protection shutdown" disabled, the driver could monitor engine temp and oil pressure with the gauges ( the two most important conditions) if a warning comes up and DECIDE whether to carry on or not. Most other codes likely wouldn't matter.

#1 engine stoper is Coolant Level Sensor.... it is not reliable thing

I was under the impression that when a warning code is activated it puts the vehicle in limp mode so we don't have broke down trucks f img up tragic in travel lanes
