Oh WAIT. Most of you too young to understand where this comes from...

Sometimes you have a bad day. Bet that insurance payout money in the 6 figures would be a pretty soothing medicine for such a bad day after you got mashed by a 18 wheeler.

I used to be told not to give out the 800 number to anyone, especially those accusing me of contact. If they are going to call my outfit and raise hell, they have to pay through the nose with long distance and such on a local number.

    A) You're a four wheeler that failed to slow down for a trucker that had his blinker on for 10 miles, trying to get over.
    B) You were too busy texting to see a trucker that had his blinker on for 10 miles, trying to get over.
    C) You're a troll.
    D) All of the above.
I bet my money on D.

Dewberry, I am with you on these big/oversize trucks cutting people off these days. These guys have dashcams now(in all trucks)they see forward-left-right and behind. They also have huge mirrors on both sides of the truck---------------these guys know just what they are doing, there is no reason anymore for this dastardly situation to arise.
I Sir,have 2 trucks n 2 trailers-i have large bumper stickers(cause my bumper is large)that have the Safety Institute #.Please add this number to your phone n please call it immediately when you observe a violation.Make sure you note color of the trailer, date, time, highway and if possible-highway marker.Dont delay next time-call 1-800-328-7448. Thank you.

Yeah so many times if the driver being passed would just back off 2 mph (literally that's all it takes) the passing truck can just get on by you and be done with it instead of having miles long dueling trucks. If someone is creeping up on me, obviously they can go faster if only by a little, I just let off slightly and they go in by and I've lost nothing.

All this talk about two or three mph, jockeying for position, passing, backing off etc rubs me wrong.

Please take a moment and hear me say this.

In my time, horsepower and gross weight decided who ran first on the front door the heavies like me with anemic 280's or cam 300's would be cabooses in the back. And we shuffle and sort again and again as necessary without complaint, rude or nasty. I have seen 100 of us take US 15 which was a single lane road and sort each other out all the way up the Susquehanna river nicely. Even if it was just one lane most of the way.

Split speed limits was a problem and a plaque in our day, imagine our everlasting joy when those went away only to be replaced by the gfawdayum governors imposed by company drones who do not know what trucking is.
