how do I transfer money to the lady back home?

    I am trying to find a way to transfer money from my account to my girls account over the phone. we both bank with key bank and I was told by the bank I could not transfer from my account to hers. any advice would be great.

    I do not want a joint account or for her to know how much I got at any given time, I'll be getting paid weekly and would like to deposit 100-300 a week in her account depending on the miles that week,to help pay the bills back home.

    You cant transfer by phone per se. Its a safety feature, to keep some one from trying to embezzle your money (identity theft). You could however go to your bank personally and ask that an "allowance" go from your account to hers, but only in person. I am not really sure of how it works but I know it can be set up. You must do it in person. Otherwise if you have internet access while on the road you can set up some transfers (once authorized again in person).

    The problem is, banks really dont like non in person transfers. If you are not there then it can be construed as fraud, and one could deny it happening and try to cheat the bank. Hence the requirement of "in person". It is however the reason now why they require you to be there physically (from idiots in the past whom thought they could get away with it).

    ok that was helpful info thank you. the guy at the bank did mention something like that. I just am trying to find the easiest way to do this with out a joint account. I am setting up direct deposit and figure I wont be stopping at to many banks on the road or do you go to the bank on the road? I'm not sure if there's a key bank in every state. the two of us are going to the bank and see what we can set up this weekend.

    one thought we had was opening a savings account or checking and make that a joint account so I could transfer money over the phone to the savings account and she could access that but not my primary checking account I got to figure this out soon.

    LOL, I would do the joint savings then there would be no worries. IMO: I find it ODD/FUNNY you dont want her to know how much you have everyweek or to allow her access to it if need be....................hope your not gonna get married.:biggrin_2559:

    You could open an online account and transfer funds that way too-check with your bank to see if they allow that feature. I do most of my banking on line now.

    well that just it were not doing so good plus she so noisy,jealous and insecure I'd have to explian every meal or motel would be another argument I just want a little privacy

    ok I know almost nothing of the above mentioned ways to do this. I do have a laptop I never thought of the whole paypal or just online banking I'll look into these thanks....
