How do people get truck driving jobs with a dui, but impossible for pizza delivery?

With the level of information overload over drunk driving, it is no longer a "mistake" at any age, as previously stated, the punishment should be very harsh. This stupid idea that it is a mistake has to go, especially when the idiot could easily kill somebody. I'm all for the first time a huge fine and losing the license for a while, a second time a life time loss of the license with forfeiture of the vehicle and the third jail time with forfeiture of the vehicle they are driving.

Yes, but it happens. Grab Japanese food & sake in little Tokyo and then bar hop to downtown for the pub then end up at the bar below your apartment. Being mobile & drunk allows you to move around and hang out with different groups of people. That's what it is.

Years ago I got a job referral from a pizza joint, delivering pizza. No felonies - lol - eff you pizza joint.
Now I'm driving a 80K lb
hazmat tanker down the road. Felonies ok!

Plenty of Pizza places that deliver other than national chains with crappy pizza.

I drive better when I'm drunk.

Any old stoner can deliver a pizza.
CDL holders are harder to find.
Or maybe they just know if you drive drunk you'll probably get hungry and pull over and eat everyone's pizzaaustinmike Thanks this.
