    Being drunk is fun !

    Eating pizza is awesome !

    Driving feels great

3 wonderful things I enjoy doing. I can do one at the time...Two at a time... Three at a time? Never !

I supposed doing two in the wrong order can also get you f'd up

Pizza delivery drivers supply their own vehicle and insurance.

They are probably afraid of being sued for employing a driver with a DUI on his record if the employee is in an accident

I'm might have been changed by now but some yrs ago I remember reading somewhere in the middle east, the penalty for drunk driving was death by firing squad. I'm not sure how Creditable that info was but that would definitely keep me from driving under the influence

In my view there is a huge difference between the two. Driving while impaired on a chemical or beverage is not even in the same league as texting while driving because most everybody does it. I saw a middle age lady texting yesterday on I 64 I was behind her after being passed by her where I noticed her texting. She was trying to exit onto the J Clyde exit toward Yorktown and nearly took out 2 cars. I have noticed over the last few years that our nations roads are becoming very dangerous even more so then they were 20 years ago.

You win a prize!! Correct!! I managed a pizza place and could not hire anyone with a DUI. Insurance forbid it.

Here's why, OP. Everyone knows that LTL companies are far more picky than OTR companies, and technically three pizza boxes and a bottle of soda are less than a truckload.

Yeah... that's the best I got.

You mean your pizza place supplied auto insurance for all your drivers? That's a first.

Drunks are the least of the problems these days.

I bet if you could find the statistics , texting or screwing with the phone in General has killed ten fold the people as drunks.

I am not a cdl holder yet and it has been a while since I have been out of SW Florida.
But if people are driving half as bad in the rest of the US as I witness in my town and down stretches of I-75. ,I may have to rethink this.

It's insanity, it's like lawlessness . People swerving 2 lanes at a time no signal . People hitting their brakes because they are texting. People driving 100 mph swerving through lanes.

If I was a undercover cop, I could write tickets non stop , and not for petty crap.

I am no angel from back in my muscle car days , but I was aware of my surroundings and maintained control when needed.

People I see just drive like they are the only one on the road.

No different than all the idiots that walk around texting and bump into you at many public places, shopping mall etc.

What I don't get with owning a CDL why you are held to a .04
    when not in a CMV.

I boat a lot . Used to make my living with one for 20 years, been a sailor since I was 5 - 52 now , captains license held yadda yadda yadda.

I could pilot a boat dead drunk and blind, but if I got pulled over and blew .05 I am going to jail and lose my CDL.

Meanwhile 99% of the boating population down here are 1st time boat owners who don't know what side of the channel to maintain .
Boating, sailing , fishing is just not enjoyable with out some cold beers, never liquor . Save that for the couch at home.

    This is what I think.

1st offense up to .10 a ticket with a reasonable fine and license suspension until the fine is paid like they do it in Italy.

Also use of a cellphone in any vehicle including a scooter is a severe fine and 6 points like they also do in Italy .

If you blow over .11 you get a breathlizer on your car for 3 years and a heavier fine without the 10,000 in attorney fees.

You get a 2nd DUI they throw the book at you, jail time , 3 years without a license , breathalyzer on the car for 10 years. Obviously you didn't take your lenient 1st time offense seriously .

DUIs. Are total life ruining Crap. Probably drive more people to become alcoholics than cured.
I have no respect for falling down drunks, especially if they get behind the wheel.

    Just my 02
