Just keep lookin, somebody will give you a chance even with a record. You won't find many choir boys driving trucks, not sure why some people love to paint the picture that trucking is full of intelligent, upstanding citizens, it just isn't so.

moutainer75 and bobbyw speak the truth. they way the folks here try to act all perfect and all seems to a fella like me that they all had some scrapes with the law and is tryin to hide that. either that or they is still breakin the law and tryin to cover up with mr perfect holier than yous act. you know if it smells bad it probably is bad and somethin sure stinks here.

course i could be all wrong and we are blessed with a truly perfect advise man on here. suppose they might be the 1st drivers to be made saints. i mean we all know why we do what we do, and it aint because we got tired workin for NASA.

I doubt that the ratio of non~decent people in the trucking business is any higher than in any other profession. There are plenty of good truckers out there, they just never get any attention cuz only the bad ones make the news. Having come from a family of truckers, being married to a trucker I know for a fact that MOST of the guys/gals out there on the road are DECENT people. My husband is INTELLIGENT and way beyond UPSTANDING when it comes to his morals and ethics.....My father was a tanker yanker, he is from the gone by days of when you could take a mans word to the bank, trucking is not an industry full of criminals or uneducated people who simply could not find any other type of employment. Just read this board, there are people in the tech world thinking of becoming drivers, they are not uneducated. Truckers come from ALL walks of life, just like anyother industry there are a few bad ones BUT, I will wager there are MORE GOOD than bad.:flower:

Oh, man that was good, yes he does hav it out for people who've broken the law as I can attest to, he's like the Simon Cowell for ex-cons. Don't feel bad Raheem, this guy went off on me for a similar thing, and he won't stop kicking until u either admit you're a loser, and you'll never work anywhere except a burger place, or you tie a rope around your neck. Lucky for us, though, we don't give up that easy, and no bcuz a person was once a criminal doesn't always make them a criminal. Think of all the politicians who commit felonies, and never sniff a jail cell. I can think of 4 living U.S. presidents who should b in prison right now. Keep believin', Peace!!
